For our client, a soft commodity trading firm, we are currently recruiting a Freight Trader. Job Description - Manage freight trading operations and optimise trading strategies. - Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities. - Negotiate and execute freight contracts with third parties. - Monitor the performance of freight operations and ensure compliance with regulations. - Collaborate with internal teams to align trading activities with organisational goals. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners. - Prepare and present detailed reports on trading performance and market insights. - Stay updated on market developments and adjust strategies accordingly. The Successful Applicant A successful Trader - Freight should have: - Educational qualifications in a relevant field such as business, economics or logistics. - Proficiency in English, with additional language skills being an asset. - Experience in freight trading or related activities within the retail sector. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
