Scientist Thermoplastic Systems

Our departments in the area of Sika’s Core Technology Thermoplastic Systems conduct global projects within Sika’s Target Markets, bridging the gap between fundamental science and product development. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Scientist based in our Global Technology Center Sarnen with the following tasks: - Planning and execution of projects to develop products and technologies related to application in construction and automotive industry - Designing and characterizing minimum viable products using respective thermoplastic processing techniques as well as chemical-analytical and physical testing methods - Supporting with the practical implementation of project results toward commercial use, assisting in troubleshooting formulation or processing issues - Researching and assessing technical state-of-the-art by evaluating scientific literature, patents, chemical databases and market information - Analyzing experimental data, documenting results, and preparing technical reports, presentations and patent applications - Engaging with external academic / industry partners, managing joint projects - Leading project teams in an agile environment Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection in the building sector and industrial manufacturing.
